யாரினும் காதலம் என்றேனா ஊடினாள்
யாரினும் யாரினும் என்று.
(குறள் 1314: புலவி நுணுக்கம் அதிகாரம்)
யாரினும் காதலம் - மற்ற யாரையும்விட காதல் உடையவர்களாக நாமிருக்கிறோம்.
என்றேனா - என்று சொன்னேனா?
ஊடினாள்
- அவள் அதற்கு ஊடிவிட்டாள்
யாரினும் யாரினும் என்று - என்னத்தவிர யாரது என்று மீண்டும் மீண்டும் கேட்டு.
மிகவும்
இயல்பாக, மற்ற யாவரையும் விட நாம் மிகுந்த காதலை உடையவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம் என்று சொன்னேன்
, அதற்கும் அவள் ஊடி, யாரைவிட, யாரைவிட என்று
மீண்டும் மீண்டும் கேட்டு என்னைக் குடைந்துவிட்டாள், என்று காதலன் தன்னுடைய இயல்பான
பேச்சில், தம்முடையக் காதலைப் பாராட்டிப் பேசியதுகூட ஊடலுக்கு ஏதுவாகிவிட்டதே என்று
அங்கலாய்க்கிறான்.
Transliteration:
yArinum kAdalam enREnA UDinAL
yArinum yArinum enRu
yArinum kAdalam – better than others we have more love
enREnA – I said so, in pride to my lover
UDinAL – Immediately she started the love quarrel, asking
yArinum yArinum enRu – who is it ? who is it?
I just
told her casually that love between us was more than others; and even that
became an issue, because she began the love-quarrel immediately asking, “who
else”, “who else”? – So laments the man about his lovers’ love-quarrel.
“Love between us is more than others”, I said
to my beloved, casually;
and
she began love-quarrel asking, compared to who, incessantly!”
