வீழுநர் வீழப் படுவார்க்கு அமையுமே

வாழுநம் என்னும் செருக்கு.

                           (குறள் 1193: தனிப்படர் மிகுதி அதிகாரம்)

வீழுநர் - தம்மால் விரும்பப்பட்டவரால்

வீழப்படுவார்க்கு - தாமும் விரும்பப்படுவார்க்கு

அமையுமே - ஏற்புடைத்திருக்கும்

வாழுநம் என்னும் - தம் காதலர் மீண்டும் வந்து தாம் காதல் வாழ்வு சிறக்கும் என்கிற

செருக்கு - பெருமை

தாம் விரும்பிக் கணவராக அடைந்தவரால் தாமும் மிக விரும்பப்படும் பெண்களுக்கு, ஏற்புடையதாம் பொருளீட்டலுக்காகப் பிரிந்திருந்தாலும், தம்முடைய கணவர் மீண்டும் தம்மோடு வந்து சேருவார், தம் காதல் வாழ்வு சிறக்கும் என்னும் எண்ணம். சிறப்பாகச் சொல்ல வேறில்லாத, அதிகார நிரப்பிக் குறள்.

Transliteration:

vIzhunar vIzap paDuvArkku amaiyumE

vAzhunam ennum serukku

vIzhunar – that who she liked

vIzappaDuvArkku – liked in return by him equally

amaiyumE – will have

vAzhunam ennum – when he returns, life of love will resume back

serukku – such pride

A maiden that is loved equally by her husband that she loves dearly, shall have the pride that though her husband might have left on his occupation and societal commitments, he would be back to resume the life of love again with her for sure. Nothing different or exceptional in this verse, except being a filler and towing along the lines of the general theme of the chapter

“Pride that love will return is only for the maiden that fell

for her man and knows that his love for is not less equal”
