உலகத்தார் உண்டென்பது இல்லென்பான் வையத்து

அலகையா வைக்கப் படும்.

                        (குறள் 850: புல்லறிவாண்மை  அதிகாரம்)

உலகத்தார் - உலகில் அறிவெனும் திருவில் உயர்ந்தோர்

உண்டென்பது - உண்மையென்று கண்டறிந்து கூறுவதை

இல்லென்பான் - மறுதளிப்பான்

வையத்து - இவ்வுலகத்திலே

அலகையா - உருவிலாத அருவமான பேயாகக்

வைக்கப்படும் - கருதப்படுவான்

உலகில் உயர்ந்தோர் உய்த்துணர்ந்து, உண்மையென்று கண்டறிந்து கூறுவதைக் கேளாது, மறுதளிப்பானை, வாழும் மனிதனாகக் கருதாது, உருவமில்லாத பேய்த்தகையோன் என்றே உலகத்துள்ளோர் கூறுவர், என்கிறார் வள்ளுவர் இக்குறளில். பரிமேலழகர் தம் உரையில், உலகில் உயர்ந்தோர் உய்த்துணர்ந்து சொல்வதாகக் கூறுவன, கடவுள், மறு பிறப்பு, மற்றும் இருவினைப் பயன்களாய தத்துவங்களாம்.

கம்பர் இத்தகையோரையே விபீடண சரணாகதி படலத்தில், இவ்வாறு கூறுகிறான்: “மையற நெறியின் நோக்கி மாமறை நெறியின் நின்ற மெய்யினைப் பொய்யென்றானும் மீள்கிலா நரகில் வீழ்வார்”.

Transliteration:

ulagaththAr uNDenbadu illenbAn vaiyaththu

alakaiyA vaikkap paDum

ulagaththAr – In this world, those have the wealth of knowledge

uNDenbadu – what they have understood and learned to be the truth and say to others

illenbAn – one that does not take their words of wisdom

vaiyaththu – in this world itself

alakaiyA – formless evil or demon

vaikkappaDum – be known and placed.

In this world, if a person does take the words of wisdom of what the wisemen have learned, understood and realized and say as the abiding truth, he shall be known as the formless devil that is evil.  Parimelazhagar defines the learnings as the concept and the knowledge God, Rebirth and the karma that continues through births.

A forceful verse that ends this chapter calling ignorant fools (mostly out of their own choices) as people of demonic nature.

“An ignorant is placed as evil, devil, for the world to chide

 for refusing to see the truth said by wisemen and abide”

அருவப்பேய் என்றுலகம் கூறும் மறுத்தால்

அருமறையோர் உண்டென் பது
