குறளின் குரல் - 317

உள்ளிய தெல்லாம் உடனெய்தும் உள்ளத்தால்

உள்ளான் வெகுளி எனின்.

                       (குறள் 309:  வெகுளாமை அதிகாரம்)

Transliteration:

uLLIya dhellAm uDaneidhum uLLaththAl

uLLAn veguLi enin

uLLIya dhellAm – All righteous and genuine gains desired in heart

uDaneidhum – a person will attain

uLLaththAl – in the heart

uLLAn – if does not think or indulge in

veguLi enin – anger (if does not let anger get into the system)

Again a generic verse, which declares that someone can get all genuine gains desired if not indulgent in anger in their hearts. Why is it so? Anger free mind has the calmness to think through many aspects of situations that can cause anger and can have clarity to sail through their desired path of life.

To say, that every gain will be there is a bit of stretched thought and a wishful thinking and that’s not what vaLLuvar means here. Anger free minds will have happy demeanor and are all accepting in nature and hence will have satisfied mind set, free of unnecessary desires. When the desires are not materialistic, self-centric, it is possible to get those desires fulfilled.

“If not indulgent in heart with the angers’ fire

 A person will get all the gains hearts desire”

தமிழிலே:

உள்ளிய(து) எல்லாம் - மனத்தால் கருதிய எல்லா பேறுகளுமே

உடன் எய்தும் - தனக்கு வந்துறும்

உள்ளத்தால் - மனத்தாலே

உள்ளான் - எண்ணமாட்டார், கருதமாட்டார்

வெகுளி எனின் - சினத்தைக் கருதமாட்டார்கள் என்றால்

ஒரு பொதுவான கருத்தைச் சொல்லும் குறள்.  ஒருவர் தன்னுள்ளத்தில் சினத்துக்கு இடம்கொடுக்காவிட்டால், அவர்கள் விரும்பும் நலன்கள் எல்லாம் அவர்களைச் சேரும். ஏன் அவ்வாறு? சினம் இல்லையென்றால் ஒருவர் மனது அமைதியாகவும், ஒன்றைச் சார்ந்த கூறுகளை, அவை சினத்தினைத் தூண்டுவதாகவே இருந்தாலும், தெளிவாக சிந்தித்து, செயல்பட்டு, தங்கள் வாழ்வின் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தப் பாதையில் கூடியவரை மகிழ்வுடன் பயணிக்கமுடியும்,

எல்லா விழைவுகளும் நிறைவேறும் என்பது ஒரு  அதீத நீட்சியான சிந்தனை. வள்ளுவர் அடிக்கோடிடுவது அதுவாக இருக்கமுடியாது. சினமில்லாத மனது மகிழ்வான மனது, பொதுவாக எல்லாவற்றையும் விருப்பு வெறுப்பில்லா நிலையில் நோக்கக்கூடியது. தேவையில்லாத விருப்புகளுக்கு ஆட்படாது. பொருள் சார்ந்த, சுயம் சார்ந்த விருப்புகள் இல்லாதபோது விருப்புகள் முறையானவையாகத்தான் இருக்கும், அவை நிறைவேறுவதில் கடினமும் இராது.

எண்ணிய கூடும் எளிதாய் மனத்திலே

எண்ணார் சினத்தை எனின்
